A suspect has been taken into custody by police in Missouri after an armed standoff Monday afternoon. The suspect was being sought in connection to the shooting of two officers on Sunday night, one fatally.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said on Monday afternoon that the suspect, 35-year-old Kenneth Lee Simpson, was"possibly in a home on MO 19 in Hermann."In a Monday tweet, the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F added that"a perimeter was established around the residence. The Patrol is working to establish contact with the suspect and using additional tactical resources to resolve the situation.
