CinemaCon premieres a new selection of first-look footage from the upcoming Tom Cruise blockbuster Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One.
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One footage has been screened today, revealing new details about the film. The sequel, which is the seventh entry in the Mission: Impossible film franchise starring Tom Cruise, is the first of a two-part finale to the series, which has been running since 1996.
The 20-minute section of the film shared today, which is largely a car chase through the streets of Rome, takes place early in the film but is not the opening sequence. It begins with Hayley Atwell's character being captured by the Mission: Impossible team. She escapes by stealing a cop car. While Ethan Hunt gives chase on a motorcycle, Pom Klementieff's character crashes into Atwell's car to try and stop her.
Mission: Impossible Can Go Bigger By Going Smaller In recent years, the Mission: Impossible franchise has come to be dominated by the death-defying stunts performed by Cruise. Every film seems to one-up the previous outing, with stunts including running down the side of the Burj Khalifa and flying into the air while strapped to the side of a jet plane.
