Missing South Carolina student Samantha Josephson has died, father and school president confirm
GREENVILLE, S.C. – University of South Carolina student Samantha Josephson, who was reported missing early Friday, has been found dead, USC President Harris Pastides said in a statement Saturday.
The 21-year-old was last seen by friends around 1:30 or 2 a.m. Friday in the Five Points area of Columbia, S.C., according to police. Police said she was seen getting into a black Chevy Impala on Harden Street just after 2 a.m. “It is with tremendous sadness and of a broken heart that I post this!” Josephson wrote. “I will miss and love my baby girl for the rest of life. Samantha is no longer with us but she will not be forgotten. It is extremely hard to write this and post it but I love her with all my heart. I could continue to write about her but it kills me. I sit here and cry while looking at the picture and write this.
