Chinese actor Wang Xing, who went missing in Thailand, has been located safe in Myanmar after a four-day search.

Wang Xing , a 31-year-old Chinese actor, has been found safe in Myanmar on January 7 after going missing in Thailand three days prior. Wang had flown to Bangkok on January 3rd believing he had successfully auditioned for a film role based on information from a Thai entertainment company. His girlfriend, Jia Jia, first raised the alarm on January 5th after losing contact with him.

She shared screenshots of messages between Wang and a Thai coordinator indicating he was supposed to be transported directly from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the film set. However, Wang sent an SOS message around noon on January 3rd before becoming unreachable. Jia Jia and Wang's brother sought help from various authorities, including the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, and China's Consulate-General in Chiangmai. They also traveled to Bangkok on January 6th to file a report with the Thai police. Celebrities like Gong Jun, Shu Qi, Talu Wang, Qin Lan, and Lay Zhang also helped spread the word and pray for his safe return. Wang Xing was found in Mae Sot, a city near the Myanmar border, with a shaved head and red marks on his leg, according to a circulating photo.
