Kelly admitted that her mother “could dish it out too,” recalling how she would “punch, pull hair, kick” David and “sometimes whale on me.”Kelly lost her virginity when she was 15 to the high school quarterback — who lied about being single. When she was 16, she met Rudy, “a handsome older cholo,” who was 21. They moved in together when Maureen and David moved to Boston amid concerns that they would be busted for drug dealing.
Kelly noted that Lyla cried a lot during season 1, which wasn’t difficult as her mother battled cancer, she continued a “toxic” romance with Kitsch and repeatedly listened to sad music on set to get the best tears from the sad cheerleader.
