Ministry to conduct spot checks on 4,000 tourist centres in conjunction with VMY2020

Its enforcement director, Datuk Iskandar Halim Sulaiman said the operation dubbed, Ops Indah was the ministry’s move to protect consumers from unethical traders seeking excessive profits at tourist centres. “Compliance to the criteria is necessary to prevent traders from confusing customers, while ensuring tourists are not fleeced with imitation products,” he said.
