The Ministry of Education (MOE) has placed 13,749 new teachers in primary and secondary schools to address shortages, working with the Education Service Commission (SPP). Minister Fadhlina Sidek reported that as of October 31, 97.62% of primary schools and 95.16% of secondary schools have achieved their placement goals. She emphasized continuous efforts to resolve teacher shortages . The placement process also considers subject shortages.
Additionally, the placement rate for staff in the implementing group has risen to 97%, compared to 84% in 2023. The ministry has taken steps to reduce teachers' burdens and optimize recruitment. The Dewan Rakyat approved the MOE's Budget 2025 allocation of RM64,190,049,400
