Ministry drafting economic policy to help B40, hardcore poor, says Salahuddin

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Salahuddin Ayub says the drafting of the Rahmah Economic Policy is in line with the government’s commitment to eradicate hardcore poverty by the end of the year. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, July 5, 2023.

He said the policy was in line with the unity government’s commitment and efforts to eradicate hardcore poverty this year. Salahuddin said it would be a constructive policy at the ministry level to continue helping the target group, especially from an economic aspect. “Thirdly, the ministry will focus on developing the people’s economic well-being, possibly through existing programmes such as online business and franchising at the ministry level and the Daya Initiative,” he told Bernama last night.
