The MINI Countryman S is now available locally assembled in Malaysia with a significantly reduced price compared to its previous fully imported status.
The MINI Countryman S is now available in the Malaysia n market in locally assembled ( CKD ) form, with pricing estimated to start from a significantly lower figure compared to its previous fully imported (CBU) status. Last September, the CBU Countryman S was priced at RM348,888 on-the-road without insurance, or RM359,288 with the extended warranty and servicing package. As a CKD model, the price drop is around RM90k. The U25-generation Countryman S retains its B48 2.
0-litre inline-four cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 204 PS and 300 Nm of torque. This is a purely internal combustion engine (ICE) powertrain, unlike the mild-hybrid CBU version. Power is channeled to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.4 seconds and a top speed of 228 km/h. The exterior features 20-inch 'Windmill Spoke' two-tone alloy wheels and the Favoured trim package. Inside, the locally assembled Countryman S comes equipped with the comfort access pack with Comfort Package Plus, including a rear-view mirror with anti-dazzle, an anthracite headliner, and a 12-speaker, 365-watt Harman Kardon audio system. A 240 mm (9.4-inch) circular OLED touchscreen handles infotainment and air-conditioning functions, while a head-up display projects driving-related information. The MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant provides voice-controlled navigation, phone, entertainment, and more. The front seats are electrically adjustable John Cooper Works sport seats, with the driver's seat offering memory and massage functions. Both front seats are upholstered in vegan leather on the sides
