New photos of Mila Kunis meeting with Marvel's Fantastic Four director Matt Shakman spark speculation she could be eyed for the role of the MCU's Sue Storm

Photos of Mila Kunis have ignited brand-new speculation she might be up for the role of Sue Storm in Marvel's Fantastic Four. A greatly anticipated film that will debut the classic team in the MCU, there has been a lot of excitement for potential casting news of any member of Marvel's First Family.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY In photos released by DailyMail, Kunis was recently seen meeting with Fantastic Four director Matt Shakman in Los Angeles. See the photos below. Coming so soon after a recent interview where Shakman confirmed Fantastic Four was in the early stages of casting, it has sparked fan speculation that he has indeed started the process of meeting with potential actors and actresses - like Kunis. Most of the conversation has been pointed at who will play Reed Richards following Mister Fantastic's brief appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness played by John Krasinski .

It's unknown if Shakman and Kunis were specifically meeting about Fantastic Four. However, it should be noted that apart from being in post-production of an untitled Godzilla series for Apple TV+ and Legendary, the upcoming MCU film is the only project Shakman currently has on his plate. Still, unless either party comments on the photos or their meeting, the subject of Kunis and Shakman's conversation remains unknown and may not have been about Marvel's Fantastic Four.

That said, Marvel will need to find its Fantastic Four cast this year. Shakman recently confirmed the movie starts filming in early 2024, so the casting of the four main heroes is likely to be announced at some point in 2023. Whether that includes Kunis as Sue Storm in Marvel's Fantastic Four remains to be seen.
