CORONAVIRUS | Three of them are foreigners and one is a Malaysian, says the Health DG.

| Malaysia recorded 10 new Covid-19 cases over the last 24 hours with migrant workers returning from overseas among them.

Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said today there were four imported cases and six local transmissions. Of the imported cases, one was a Malaysian, while three others were foreigners who were either permanent residents or those allowed into the country for work reasons.of foreign nationals under the Employment Pass 1 category into Malaysia from Covid-19 green zone countries namely Singapore, Brunei, Australia, and New Zealand.Of the Malaysians infected, one was detected during a pre-surgical operation examination in Selangor while three others were tahfiz students in Kuala Lumpur.

Of the non-citizens, one is a police detainee in a Negeri Sembilan lockup and the other a contractor in Sabah.In total there have been 8,616 cases of Covid-19 detected with 187 active cases.No new deaths were recorded with the death toll still holding at 121.
