It appears that Microsoft is gearing up to launch the sequel to its flagship convertible laptop in Malaysia soon. As
in Malaysia soon. As first reported by Nextrift, a listing of the device has been spotted in the SIRIM database under the name Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio 2, which also revealed that it was recently approved by the certification, inspection and testing body earlier this month on 9 August 2023.
Interestingly, the company itself has yet to announce the new convertible laptop, and mentions of it have only been circulating through rumours. Needless to say, the listing of the Surface Laptop Studio 2 in SIRIM’s database confirms that it does indeed exist, and a potential local launch is very likely to happen soon.The upcoming device is expected to inherit its predecessor’s form factor, which features a Dynamic Woven Hinge that allows it to transition between three modes.
