Microsoft has announced in the Windows Insider blog that there will be another gradual rollout for Windows Recall.
Microsoft has never had the chance to properly rollout its Windows Recall AI feature. It was first delayed following the discovery of a security risk, then even pulled from Insider Preview builds. The company then said beta testers in the Insider program could test it out in December. More recently, the company made another announcement that it is starting the gradual rollout of the feature for Insiders.
In a Windows Insider blog post, Microsoft also listed a summary of new features and improvements included as part of this rollout. Though new is subjective, and probably relates only to the rollout in question, as most of the items here sound a lot like what the Windows Recall feature was marketed as being capable of in the first place. In case you missed it though, Windows Recall was supposed to allow you to retrieve data from your newer, Copilot capable PCs using natural language.
Another gradual rollout among the beta testers within the Windows Insider program may mean that Windows Recall is one step closer to being available to the general user base. Assuming Microsoft doesn't run into further hiccups with the feature, of course.
