PETALING JAYA, March 20 — The immediate suspension of the man in black who refereed the Super League match between Sabah FC and Penang FC last Friday, is a proactive step taken by the Football Association of Malaysia , said Malaysian Football League chief executive officer Stuart Ramalingam.
“Sometimes it is a pity when a player who misses a penalty kick gets a second chance in the next match but with the referee, there cannot be any mistakes. Stuart was commenting on referee Zulkarnain Zakaria who officiated the match on Friday which saw Sabah FC record a 5-2 victory over Penang FC at the Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu.
