The Mets might’ve gone down without much of a whimper Friday night, but the fans in the stands at PNC Park put up a fight — literally.in which the pitching and defense looked shaky, fans of both teams appeared to get into a scrap in the stands.
In a video posted to Twitter, fans of both teams along the stadium’s first-base line are seen pushing, shoving and hitting each other, all while the action is still happening on the field with the Mets at the plate. As the melee continued, a fan in a black Mets jersey — who was in the early part of the fight — circled back and came from a row behind where the skirmish was happening and jumped back into the fray with a right-handed punch.
After about 30 seconds into the video, stadium security finally appeared to stop the brouhaha for good.
