La Union: 24.5 percent to 17.4 percentPrior to this, David reported on Sunday night a nationwide positivity rate of 18.1 percent. In another social media post, David said that he projected 1000 to 1,200 new COVID-10 cases for Monday.
“I don’t expect it to exceed 2000. It is already decreasing. It could increase again sometime later in the year but for the moment we should continue on a downward trend,” he said. David said that this trajectory could be changed by the COVID-19 variant XBB 2.3 Acrux but this has yet to be seen.
