KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 19 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a continuous rain warning in Johor and the east coast states of Pahang, Kelantan and Terengganu until Jan 22.
“Based on the analysis of weather models, the monsoon surge occurring in the country is expected to last until Jan 25 and this situation has the potential to produce continuous rain in the east of the peninsula during that period,” according to the statement. In addition, a strong wind warning was also issued for shipping, with third-category level strong winds and rough seas forecast until Jan 25.
