Meta's verified subscription featureIn a Facebook post, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that Meta Verified will be rolled out starting this week.
This service is a"subscription bundle on Instagram and Facebook that includes a verified badge that authenticates your account with government ID, proactive account protection, access to account support, and increased visibility and reach," Meta said in a statement.This will initially be available in Australia and New Zealand.
Meta said this is also in line with its efforts to help creators grow their presence and build community faster.To be eligible, accounts must meet minimum activity requirements, such as prior posting history, and be at least 18 years old, Meta said. A government ID must be then submitted. The ID must match the profile name and photo of the Facebook or Instagram account being applied for verification.Prior to this, social media giant Twitter also launched its paid subscription service Twitter Blue.Will you subscribe once Meta Verified is here in the Philippines?
