Met Eireann is issuing weather warnings ahead of Storm Ciarán which is to pass near Ireland on Wednesday evening and Thursday.An advisory runs until 11.30pm on Thursday for the entire country, with Met Eireann saying"soils are saturated and river levels are high" which could add to the potential effects of flooding in parts.
The British Met Office also has a similar alert for rain in place for the North which is in place until 9am tomorrow. Tomorrow morning will see a status yellow wind warning run in Clare, Kerry and Galway. That will be in place from 5am until 11am tomorrow.
