Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Far East Dallas that began as a Mesquite carjacking.
No injuries have been reported as a result of this incident, and no arrests have been made at this timePolice are investigating an incident that began as a carjacking in Mesquite and ended in a shooting at a Dallas apartment complex.
At approximately 11:08 p.m., a Mesquite police officer on routine patrol spotted the victim’s stolen vehicle in a nearby area, police said.According to police, officers attempted to stop the vehicle at which point the suspects fled and the officers gave chase. Police said they do not know if the suspect was struck by gunfire, but both suspects continued running after the shooting.
