KUALA LUMPUR: The inaugural"Merdeka Gig in The Sky", organised by Menara Kuala Lumpur as part of the National Day Eve celebrations, is set to become an annual event following overwhelming response from both local and international visitors.
"We believe this event has the potential to become a major attraction for National Day Eve celebrations in Kuala Lumpur, while simultaneously promoting Menara Kuala Lumpur as a national icon. The event was part of the"Merdeka Madness" campaign, which kicked off on Aug 1 and runs until Sept 16 in conjunction with this year’s National Day celebrations.
"In the past, I’ve celebrated National Day Eve at Dataran Merdeka, and that too, from a distance. This time, my friends and I opted for a view from above. The exclusivity and ambience here are unlike anything else," she said.
