Meralco coach Luigi Trillo said the team has tapped former NorthPort defensive import Prince Ibeh as the the Bolts' reinforcement for the 2023 East Asia Super League home-and-away tournament.

The 29-year-old Ibeh has earned a reputation for his shot-blocking ability since suiting up for the Batang Pier in the 2019 and 2022 Commissioner's Cup.The British-Rwandan big man is coming off overseas in Taiwan and Venezuela after his stint with NorthPort this past season.

Ibeh, who played college basketball for Texas en route to a Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2016, will be pairing with Nigerian-American Suleiman Braimoh, who will serve as the Bolts' import for the upcoming Commissioner's Cup.The Bolts have enough time to get Ibeh acclimated with the team, which will be making its EASL Season 2 debut on November 15 where they will face defending Japan B.League champions Ryukyu Golden Kings in Okinawa, Japan.
