One of UK’s trans voices Travis Alabanza will lead the audience into a hilarious and devastating tour of the toilets called OverFlow for MELT Festival.

Drunken heart-to-hearts at dirty basins and friendships forged in crowded mirrors will be one of many theatre, art and exhibitions presented at MELT Festival.

When speaking about the theatre production, Brisbane Powerhouse artistic director Kate Gould chuckled. “She is astonishing in the role.....she ends up stuffing paper in the toilet and it floods,” she said. “They not only have trans people in the group but they’re also hearing-impaired, the vocalist is actually deaf and an Auslan interpreter performs alongside them,” she said.
