An unofficial winter has arrived in Melbourne, with temperature not expected to breach 13 degrees this weekend.

Melbourne is expected to suffer through its coldest weekend in three years.The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts a top of 13 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday, with more than a 90 per cent chance of rain in the city on both days.

“This is the first real cold break for winter,” O’Brien says. “Not that we are in winter quite yet, but [it’s] a taste of winter.”
