Residents have been urged to check their SUVs and 4WDs.
Up to 20 four-wheel drives and SUVs near Tintern Ave, Toorak were targeted on Thursday night and Friday morning.
“Car companies try to convince you that we need massive cars, but we don’t. Driving around urban areas in your massive vehicle has huge consequences for others.The letter goes onto to suggest the person walks, cycles, or uses public transport instead. Officers have also been fingerprinting and DNA testing the targeted cars and letters that were left behind.“We’ll continue to increase our visible presence in the streets of Tintern Ave and surrounding residential streets of Toorak to ensure the residents of Toorak that we are doing everything we can to deter further offending of this nature,” Farrugia said.
