MELAKA: A seamstress from rural Melaka lost RM52,000 after falling victim to a Macau Scam syndicate.

Jasin OCPD Deputy Superintendent Arshad Abu said the 45-year-old woman from Sungai Rambai, Jasin, was duped into believing she was involved in an investigation over money-laundering by a man claiming to be a police officer, and another man claiming to be postal staff.“The fraudsters claimed that the victim had some issues with the Customs Department and was also involved in money-laundering.account provided by the suspects, ” he said on Wednesday .

DSP Arshad said the victim realised she had been cheated and lodged a report at the Jasin district police headquarters on Tuesday .Stay tuned for a new offer coming to you soon.
