MELAKA: Police detained a thief for the 19th time in the past two years.
Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit said the 42-year-old man, with 23 charges in his record, was detained on Christmas Eve after he made his latest break-in at a home in Ayer Keroh here.
"The robbery victim lost RM50,000 in the break-in on Dec 23 including his golfing equipment" he said on Sunday.He said the suspect has been detained 18 times previously between 2020 and this year.ACP Christopher Patit said the suspect has been remanded until Monday . He added that the suspect would be investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code, which provides imprisonment up to five years and fine.Article type: free
