Beliau berkata, festival yang merupakan penjenamaan semula Hari Peladang, Penternak dan Nelayan itu bakal diangkat menjadi lebih besar dengan tempoh penganjuran dipanjangkan selama seminggu, berbanding hanya tiga hari pada tahun ini.

“Kita cadangkan acara pesta makan durian itu diadakan di Melaka Tropical Fruit Farm Sungai Udang bagi menikmati musim buah-buahan di kawasan itu. Namun, acara utama seperti gerai pameran dan persembahan akan kekal diadakan di Dataran Sejarah Ayer Keroh. Sementara itu, dalam ucapan perasmiannya, Ab. Rauf berkata, geografi bumi Melaka yang pelbagai dilihat sangat sesuai dan berpotensi untuk pertanian, di mana ia merentasi 108 sungai sepanjang 673 kilometer , jarak pesisir pantai sepanjang 120.5 km dan tanah-tanah untuk tanaman.
