A royal insider has claimed Meghan Markle wants to move on from being a Duchess while retaining her title in name only.
Meghan and her husband Prince Harry officially “stepped back” from royal duties in January 2020 but have retained the titles Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
"Many people I have spoken to said they were leading separate lives, as Meghan preferred to ‘look forward’ in building a new lifestyle brand while Harry was more ‘focused on the past’," the source revealed to Woman magazine in the United Kingdom. "Meghan now wants to move on from being a Duchess and launch her own global brand."In my experience, he’s never really enjoyed it – and would be much happier at home with the children, doing charity work.
More recently, Meghan declined a chance to visit London with her husband for a charity event earlier this month but did meet up with Harry just days later in neighbouring Germany for the Invictus Games.
