Meghan Markle gave Her Majesty a “curt three-word reply” when the late Queen attempted to impart words of wisdom to the former actress as she joined the royal family, an explosive new book claims.

Robert Jobson writes in his upcoming book Our King that the Queen was “warmly” welcoming Meghan to the family and telling her that she was “so pleased Harry had at last found love”.

Meanwhile, Melissa Hoyer spoke to Sky News Australia overnight about the incredible effort the Queen put into participating in her Platinum Jubilee ceremony. Her Majesty advised Meghan to turn to Sophie the then Countess of Wessex for support in adjusting to royal life, to which the former Suits actress replied:"I've got Harry". Picture: Getty Images.

“In considerable discomfort, Her Majesty was taken by wheelchair to the helicopter pad at Windsor. At the palace, she was wheeled right up to the balcony doors, then helped to her feet so that she could stand — with the aid of a walking stick — alongside Charles and Camilla, plus William and his family,” Jobson wrote, according to an excerpt published in theNews Corp Columnist Angela Mollard said it showed how proud Elizabeth was to be Queen and perform her duties right until the day she died.
