Meghan is reportedly launching the US arm of charity Sussex Royal while she is in the country

It’s further confirmation that the couple is planning on taking an international role. According to one source, it’s a sign that they are thinking seriously about becoming major philanthropists. “What is most interesting is that Meghan feels that while the charity will be a worldwide venture, she sees Hollywood and American business circles as key to fundraising,” the insider said “Meghan feels that focusing on fundraising stateside will bring in tens of millions of dollars quickly.
It’s also a sign that Meghan is adapting her role as duchess to the passions she had before becoming a royal. “Even in her younger years in Hollywood, she wanted to work towards creating an international charity changing lives. Now that she has the platform and profile of being a British royal she can truly build this plan,” a source said. “She sees this foundation as one of the key factors in creating a legacy as a new royal and Harry is right behind her.
The fact that every vacation ultimately turns into an opportunity to work probably isn’t a surprise to anyone who has received. After Archie was born in early May, Meghan had planned on taking maternity leave for a few months. Soon, she did make an appearance on the royal balcony for Trooping the Colour in June, and was spotted at various events for the rest of the summer, looking relaxed and carefree.
