The couple will visit New York City for an Archewell Foundation event that will feature parents who have experienced loss connected to children’s social media use.
Five months after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s last trip to New York City led to a complicated paparazzi chase, the couple are returning for a good cause. Tuesday, October 10 marks World Mental Health Day, and to mark the occasion, the couple will make an appearance at the festival hosted Project Healthy Minds. Meghan and Harry will be joined by a group that includes former surgeon general Vivek Murthy for the Archewell Foundation Parents Summit, in a panel moderated by Today’s Carson Daly.
Together, they are united in their mission to share personal experiences, data, and research to ensure the same does not happen to other families.” Upon leaving their royal roles in 2020, Meghan and Harry both made promoting internet safety a key part of their charitable portfolio. Some of the Archewell Foundation’s earliest donations went to researchers working on the issue, and later that year, Harry joined a commission on misinformation and disinformation organized by the Aspen Institute.
