A royal insider has painted a surprising picture of a self-conscious King Charles nervous about the public’s perception ahead of the coronation on May 6.
Tom Bower is a British journalist and royal expert who wrote the scathing biography Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors.
“Not only must Charles’s performance reinforce the monarchy’s importance and popularity but, he knows, that the impressions of that day will be used by future historians as their foundation to judge King Charles III’s reign,” Mr Bower said.King Charles became the oldest Monarch to ever ascend the throne in 2022 following the death of Queen Elizabeth II after an unprecedented 70-year reign.
The author then criticised the 74-year-old for failing to take stronger action against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after the pair launched continual attacks on the royal family, including personal jabs at Queen Camilla in Harry’s memoir Spare. In Spare, Harry criticised the royal family and his mother-in-law Queen Camilla.
