His writing has appeared in USA Today, The New York Daily News, The Hechinger Report and Narratively. In last year’s midterm election, just 26% of 18-24 year-olds in Mississippi went to the polls.
And some people, they didn't even get their absentee ballots by the time Election Day happened last year. And that to me is just not okay because it makes it so our voices aren’t heard. So that's my first issue. My second one is education. I’m currently in high school. Obviously it's going to affect me a lot. All credit to Governor Reeves for the $5,000 teacher pay raise he did a couple of years ago.
