According to the Post, the media tycoon proposed to Smith with an Asscher-cut diamond solitaire on St. Patrick’s Day in New York City. “I’m one-fourth Irish,” he told the Post’s Cindy Adams. “I was very nervous. I dreaded falling in love — but I knew this would be my last. It better be. I’m happy.”
