Tan, in pointing out Singapore's decision to extend its circuit breaker until June 1 following a spike in infections, said this is evidence that the early measures taken by the government are now starting to yield results. “Assuming that the government did not announce the implementation and extension of the MCO, I believe that the pandemic's situation in Malaysia would have been difficult to control, and certainly would not have effectively reduced the coronavirus' rate of spreading.
