KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has successfully defended his post as MCA president.

MCA secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon said Dr Wee won in a landslide victory, winning most of the votes in the race against his opponent Datuk Tan Chong Seng.

There is a mix of old and new faces for the four vice-president posts won by incumbents Datuk Lim Ban Hong and Datuk Tan Teik Cheng, while the newcomers are Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng and Datuk Lawrence Low.Nominations for the 2023 MCA elections occurred on Sept 11, with central party polls involving some 29,000 MCA delegates.A total of 160 polling stations were set up nationwide for the central committee election.All winners will begin their terms as office-bearers after the AGM.
