Presiden MCA, Datuk Seri Dr. Wee Ka Siong menyifatkan ramalan sokongan membabitkan pengundi berdasarkan kaum itu adalah sesuatu yang sukar untuk dijangkakan.
Ini kerana pada saat-saat akhir pendirian mereka terhadap mana-mana parti politik dan calon boleh saja berubah mengikut isu dan kepentingan kaum berkenaan terutama bab ekonomi.
“Tidak boleh hendak jangka berapa peratus sokongan mereka. Saya sudah melalui proses pilihan raya empat kali. Dalam pada itu, Setiausaha Agung DAP, Anthony Loke Siew Fook berkata, DAP akan cuba sebaik mungkin bagi menarik lebih ramai pengundi dan bukan hanya terhad kepada kaum Cina. “Saya tidak berani untuk meletakkan peratusan sokongan pengundi. Akan tetapi kita cuba sedaya upaya menarik sokongan tanpa mengira kaum.
