Mayor Tiangco, who is also the NAVOTAAS chairman, and the scholars signed the MOA along with the program’s scholarship committee. In this academic year, nine individuals were granted sports and art scholarships in visual arts, dance, music, theater arts, and creative writing. The city government said each NAVOTAAS arts and sports scholar will receive a transportation and food allowance worth P16,500 per academic year.The event was also attended by some officers from Navotas Schools Division Office and the families of the new scholars.He said he expects the participation of the Navoteños to implement the aspirations of the city.
“Lalong lalo na po ang mga kabataan, nawa ay patuloy nilang tangkilin ang mga adhikain ng ating pamahalaang lungsod ,” said Tiangco.“Gawin lang po natin iyong dapat natin gawin. Marami pa po tayong programa sa ating pamahalaang lungsod. Muli, congratulations po sa ating lahat ,” he added.
