Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and Senator Imee Marcos led the distribution of financial aid to 1,000 residents “in crisis situation” at the Oreta Sports Complex on Thursday, Nov. 10.

The beneficiaries of Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation include senior citizens, solo parents, victims of fire/floods, unemployed individuals, and persons with disabilities . They received P3,000 each for the basic needs of their families.

“Sisikapin natin na magkaroon ng pantay na oportunidad ang mga minorya sa basic services kagaya ng pagkain, gamot, at iba’t ibang uri ng tulong pinansiyal ,” she added. The Nutribun is a bread product distributed to children in the 1980’s during the term of her father, the late former President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. The program was implemented to address the hunger and malnutrition in the country.
