Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan invited the public to watch the official entries for The Manila Film Festival (TMFF). ManilaBulletin
"Inaanyayahan po namin kayong lahat na manuod at tangkilikin a ng limang pelikulang pinagsikapang gawin ng ating mga kabataang punong-puno ng talento at maka-sining na pananaw , Lacuna-Pangan said following the TMFF floats parade at Kartilya ng Katipunan on Thursday, June 15.
Mayor Honey said that watching quality movies like the official entries for the city's film festival will also help revive the Philippine movie industry. She said Manileños will be able to witness again a new, amazing, and truly world-class movie entries by university students from inside and outside of the City of Manila.
The premiere night of the TMFF’s five official entries was held at 5 p.m. on Thursday and their regular showing is from June 16 to 24 at the SM Manila Cinema in celebration of the Araw ng Maynila. "Bilang selebrasyon ng ika-452 Araw ng Maynila, iisa lamang po ang nais nating ipagmalaki — ang galing at talento ng mga batang Maynila sa larangan ng sining at akademya ," Vice Mayor Yul Servo Nieto said.related stories
