Maynilad customers in parts of Cavite and Las Piñas will still have to keep saving water as service interruptions will continue until Nov. 2.
The daily water service interruption is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m., according to the water concessionaire.
Maynilad said it will replace 11 ultrafiltration membranes of the Putatan Water Treatment Plant 2 to maintain optimum filtration capacity. "[This is] in preparation for the Amihan Season when increases in the turbidity level of the raw water of Laguna Lake typically occur," the company explained. "The water service may remain uninterrupted during some days within the period, depending on the actual volume of water our treatment plants are able to produce despite the ongoing UF replacement," it added.
