(Reuters) - EDP Renewables North America said on Monday it has delivered three utility-scale solar projects and signed a long-term virtual power purchase agreement with tech giant Microsoft.

In the banking sector, it stands at 74th globally. Notably, Maybank is one of only two Malaysian brands to make the list and is the only financial institution from Malaysia.

Maybank, in a statement, attributed its remarkable re-entry into the global ranking of the world's 500 most valuable brands to an improvement in its Brand Strength Index . Meanwhile, Maybank has been recognised for its excellence in sustainable financing and sustainability transparency from Global Finance by securing five awards within the global, regional and country level for its exceptional initiatives on addressing the adverse effects of climate change and building a more sustainable future for humanity.

The Global Finance Sustainable Finance Awards recognises financial institutions that excel in supporting a comprehensive range of initiatives essential for a sustainable future while demonstrating creativity in addressing long-term challenges.
