Industry group polling obtained by Sky News Australia shows the NSW Treasurer - whose pro-climate polices have made him a polarising figure with the Liberal base - faces a significant backlash this weekend from his Hornsby electorate.
Mr Kean – who has become a polarising figure with the Liberal base over his pro-climate policies – will have to rely on One Nation preferences to win the seat, with his primary vote slumping from 53 per cent to 37 per cent, according to industry group polling leaked to Sky News Australia.
On the question of whether Mr Kean would make good premier, 39 per cent of respondents agreed and 40 per cent disagreed.
