SIBU: Parti Amanah Negara aims to win in at least 13 seats in the next state election which is due in June 2021, says party president Mohamad Sabu"In the last election, we contested in 13 seats just to deny Barisan Nasional from winning uncontested. We lost all but we did not lose our deposit," he said during a dinner held in conjunction with a meeting to elect Sarawak Amanah's new committee on Saturday .
Mohamad said they were now in a better position of making a breakthrough this time around to win seats so as to help Pakatan Harapan take over the state government.Sarawak Amanah, he said had started to gear up for the state election which he believed would be called sometime next year. "We will have a special election manifesto by early next year. On the allocation of seats, we will discuss it with the other component parties within Sarawak Pakatan when a meeting is called," he said, while hoping the party would contest in at least 13 seats.Sabu said it was important for Sarawak Pakatan to win in the next state election so as to be able take over the state government.
"The policy of the state must be in line with Pakatan at the Federal level for better administration of the state. We can't have two different policies. This is why allocation would be given to set up MPKKP to manage villages," he said.
