New York-based premium audio brand Master & Dynamic has announced the latest model in its range of true wireless earphones. Unlike previous earbuds from Master & Dynamic, the new MW09 Active Noise-Cancelling earbuds support Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound platform with its advanced audio performance with smartphones that support the standard.
Jonathan Levine is the founder and CEO of Master & Dynamic. He explained the principles behind the new earbuds: “For the MW09, we focused our efforts on producing significant performance enhancements without compromising our obsession with design and materials. We’re most excited about our proprietary AI-enhanced talk solution and adaptive ANC.
The MW09 have anodized aluminum shells covered in sapphire glass. Four colorways are available, so there’s bound to be a pair to suit most people. The acoustic enclosure and overall build quality has been improved even though the earbuds are now lighter and have a more secure fit that should suit a wider variety of ear sizes. The earbuds come with various sizes of silicone and foam tips.
The Master & Dynamic app is an excellent piece of software with a minimalist interface that’s easy to navigate. The app has a custom graphic equalizer and controls for adjusting the level of ANC, which includes a transparency mode for hearing hazards or travel announcements through the music.Now we come to the all-important sound quality. If you are lucky enough to have a phone that supports Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Sound platform, the MW09 can take full advantage of aptX Lossless audio.
