MASHATILE UNMASKED | Secrecy and delays shroud Mashatile-linked GPF investigation
Enter recipient email addressUnexplained delays have hampered the Gauteng Partnership Fund's probe into loans worth R30 million it granted Deputy President Paul Mashatile's son-in-law, Nceba Nonkwelo, for a housing project that was never built.
GPF board chairperson Craig Cornish confirmed the investigation was experiencing delays but refused to be drawn on the underlying reasons. The board has now requested an extension from MEC for Human Settlements Lebogang Maile. Several GPF employees and board members contacted by News24 closed rank when questioned on the investigation and its delays, with some confirming they had been specifically instructed not to speak about the matter. South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future. News24 has kept the country informed for 25 years, and we're about to enter a new chapter of fearless journalism.
