Marvel Rivals is entering its second season, Season 1, and introducing the Fantastic Four to its roster. The season, which launches on January 10, will also feature a new map, balance changes, and a battle pass. The Fantastic Four joins the fight against Doctor Doom and Dracula, who have plunged New York City into eternal night.
Marvel Rivals is entering its second season, confusingly named Season 1 because the first one was Season 0, and it’s bringing four new heroes to the game all at once. The Fantastic Four are joining the roster on January 10, seemingly alongside a new map , a balance patch, and a battle pass. Developer NetEase is rolling out information on Season 1: Eternal Night Falls throughout the week, so we’ll be updating this post with new details as they come.
Marvel Rivals takes place in a multiverse-spanning battle between two versions of the Fantastic Four villain Doctor Doom, each fighting for control of all the timelines, and this season one of them has teamed up with Dracula, resulting in vampiric monsters overrunning NYC. Or, as NetEase’s official synopsis puts it: Darkness engulfs New York as the Timestream Entanglement leaves Doctor Strange trapped in the Entangled Astral Plane, scattering the Darkhold pages.
