"I already knew," De La Cruz said about beating out his grounder to shortstop J.P. Crawford. "Those guys are going to try to throw me out but they don’t have a chance. Of course it is good when you have other things to help get a victory." The Reds overcame four runs batted in by Rodríguez and Teoscar Hernández’s two-run homer in the first inning for their fourth win in their last five games.
