AMPANG: The married couple who were detained for the bomb attack that killed a waiter in Pandan Indah are expected to be charged on Monday (Jan 16).
Ampang OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the 33-year-old man and his 30-year-old wife will be brought to the Ampang court complex on Monday.
The suspects were detained on Jan 3 at a house in Serdang, Kedah following a raid by a CID team from the Ampang Jaya district police headquarters.It was previously reported that the home-made bomb which killed a waiter at Pandan Indah was detonated remotely. The police have recorded statements from 36 individuals so far in connection with the case, and personal reasons are believed to be the motive for the waiter's death.It was learnt that the explosive device used contained similar materials.
